Abstracts of my posters and papers have now been uploaded to the site, and can be accessed through the 'about me' link, where I have also listed the details of a new paper in review.

Also, the synziphosurine Pasternakevia has been redescribed in Acta Palaeontologica Polonica.

The International Palaeontological Congress is a major international meeting held once every four years under the auspices of the International Palaeontological Association.

This year is the third congress, and is taking place in London. As part of the proceedings there is going to be a workshop on chelicerates, dealing with everything from the potential stem-group to derived arachnids, including eurypterids.

Details can be found on the website here; http://www.ipc3.org/

31/10/2009 The resources section is now up and running, including links to eurypterids in the media and a number of images. Further links and images shall be added in the future.
14/10/2009 A new paper is published online in Biology Letters today, reevaluating Romer's theory and looking at patterns of evolution in eurypterids.
01/10/2009 The eurypterids newsletter, originally run by Simon Braddy, has now moved to this site. A link to the current issue and, hopefully, future issues has been added to the menu bar. If you have anything you wish to appear in a future issue of the newsletter please do email it to me. If future issues attract enough interest I may consider formatting them as a small pdf booklet.
30/09/2009 The site goes live! There is much still to do, but for the bare bones are up and running.
Also within the last month, the Portishead eurypterid Drepanopterus abonensis has been redescribed and a new genus of pterygotid eurypterid described, both in the journal Palaeontology.
